The family announces the passing of Carolyn Ayers Wright of Covington, Georgia on September 15, 2026. Carolyn, born on June 26, 1929, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Benjamin Wright (Joe); and her daughter Gail Jean James. She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Wright Crill (Cary) and Susan Wright McPhail; her son-in-law Gus Franklin James; and her grandchildren, Brian James, Christopher McPhail, Benjamin Grycko, Lindsey McPhail, Carolyn Esch and Danielle Jones. She is also survived by ten great‑grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Covington (1139 Usher St NW, Covington, GA 30014).
