He was predeceased by: his significant other Barbara Ann Almand New; his son Jerry New; his siblings, Louise Smith, William New and G. W. New (Christine); his nephew Keith McBroom; and his niece Elaine New.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Harold New (Liberty) and Nia Pairer (Dustin); and his siblings, Douglas New (Linda) and Mary Ellen McBroom. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Henry Funeral Home (6833 Church St, Lithonia, GA 30058). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Henry Funeral Home (6833 Church St, Lithonia, GA 30058). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Turner Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (3402 Turner Hill Rd, Stonecrest, GA 30038).
