He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Katherine Nichols (Charles Nichols Sr.); and his brothers, Chuck and Bill. He is survived by: his wife Margie Nichols; his children, Chrissy Lofton (Scott), Tammy Dryer (Bob), Jessica Johnson (Nathan), Patrick Simpson, Gennia Pitman and Henry Cross; his siblings, Bob Nichols (Lois) and Shirley Ann Turner (Charles); and his close friend Lucky. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223).
