He was predeceased by : his father L. A. Ford; and his grandparents, John Hollis Mize, Mamie Mize, Luna Alexander Ford, Sr. and Lily Gresham Ford.

He is survived by : his wife Marynell Ford; his mother Annette Ford; his children, Daniel and Emily Ford; his grandchildren, Hannah, Josiah and Tabitha; his children, Missy and Joey Hyrns; his grandchildren, Isaac, Sofia, Scarlett, Chloe and Katie; his children, Mindy and Joe Adkins; his grandchildren, James, Titus, Josh and Lydia; his sister Carol; his brother-in-law Tom Blanton; and his nieces, Natalie and Stephanie. He is also survived by cousins, extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Belmont Baptist Church (3275 Iris Dr SE, Conyers, GA 30013). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lawnwood Memorial Park (1111 Access Rd, Covington, GA 30014).
