She was predeceased by: her parents, Pinkney Crandall Gore and Mary Eliza Cartrette Gore; her husband Franklin Delano Hooks; her brothers, George Gore and Jesse Alton "Rusty" Gore; and her sister-in-law Miriam Huggins Gore.
She is survived by: her daughters, Harva Kaye Henry (Stephen) of Covington, GA and Sanda Faye Minor (David) of Pittsboro, NC.; her granddaughters, Hannah Eliza Henry and Sarah Henry Shannon (Blake); and her great grandchild Henry Ellis Shannon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
