We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2025, at the age of 87, Dorothy Jean (Dodd) McLendon of Covington, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Linton Dodd and Fannie Dodd (Hitt); her husband Gene McLendon; her sister Willene Bourn; and her daughter-in-law Joenne McLendon (Petty).
She is survived by: her children, Bobby McLendon and Anita Deen (Robert); her grandchildren, April Cunningham (David), Steve McLendon (Jennifer), Rebecca Reagan (Nakia), Stephanie Deen and Rita Gebert (Markus); her great grandchildren, Ashley Goss, Bryson, Jaxon Reagan, Cole McLendon, Khloe and Annabelle Gebert; and her sister Betty Upchurch.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wheeler Funeral & Cremation Services (11405 Brown Bridge Rd, Covington, GA 30016). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.
