We are sad to announce that, on April 30, 2023, at the age of 96, Gloria Allgood of Covington, Georgia, born in Oxford, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herschel G. Ray and Lena Allen Ray; her husband Cary Barnett Allgood; and her son Cary Ray Allgood. She is survived by: her siblings, Sanders Ray (Frances), Herschel Ray (Bernadette) and Martha Ray Meyers (Jerry); her daughters, Betty Ann Allgood Haymore (David) of Covington, GA and Caren Allgood Gibb (Roger) of Virginia Beach, VA.; her grandchildren, Albert S. Killingsworth IV of San Antonio, TX, Gloria Lena Killingsworth Reach (Evan) of Owings, MD., Philippa Gibb Kermani (Tom), Weymouth, England, Matthew Gibb (Carolyn) and Lauren; and her great grandchildren, Emmett, Jackson Reach, Collingwood, Charles Gibb, Edie and Rafe Kermani.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Allen Memorial United Methodist Church or to the Oxford Historical Cemetery Foundation.
