She was predeceased by : her father Lovic Thomas; her husband James Eugene Coggin; and her grandson James Alton Coggin. She is survived by : her children, Martie Lanelle Garrett (Richard), Lee Lapard Coggin and Kirby Philip Coggin (Tonie); and her brothers, Philip Thomas (Margaret) and Logan Thomas (Eileen). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
