He was predeceased by: his parents, James C., Sr. and Ila Farmer Deadwyler; his sons, James C. "Jammy" Deadwyler and Scott Deadwyler; and his brothers, Ansel Deadwyler and Harris "Hammer" Deadwyler.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Deadwyler; his daughters, Holly Padgett (Travis), Lia Garrett (Bill) and Leslie Smith (Eric); his daughters-in-law, Teri Deadwyler and Cindy Deadwyler; and his sister Mary Moore (Jim Moore). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Covington (1139 Usher St NW, Covington, GA 30014). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Covington 1139 Usher Street NW, Covington, GA 30014.
