He was predeceased by: his parents, Elisha Hardy and Lillie Mae Hardy; his wife Billie Jean Hardy; and his siblings, Carrie Waters, Junior and Allen Hardy.
He is survived by: his family Jesus; his children, Steve Hardy (Marikay) and Anita Nelson (Dale); his grandchildren, David (Teresa), Drew, Tori (Andy), James (Julie), Chris (Allie), Laura (Mike) and Holly; his great grandchild Gabrielle; and his sister Bernice Biggers.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Covington City Cemetery.
