James Ray Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of James Ray (Covington, Georgia) is shared. James, born on March 18, 1990, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gerald, Mary Jo Childers and Thomas Ray; and his close friend Matt Davis. He is survived by: his wife Torey Ray; his parents, Thad Childers and Connie Ray; his children, Brooklyn, Serenity and Owen; his grandmother Peggy Ray; and his siblings, Blake Brown, Matt Brown, Tyler Brown, Aiyden Gardner, Averie Childers, Jaxson Childers, Jenesis Childers and Kali Childers. He is also survived by numerous other family members and many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home (2157 East St, Covington, GA 30014). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home (2157 East St, Covington, GA 30014).
