He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Vincent Saunders and Virginia Francis Foley; and his wife Gloria Saunders. He is survived by: his daughter Melissa; his son-in-law Mike Adcox of Covington; his grandchildren, Caleb Adcox, Levi Adcox, Ja'el Adcox of Covington, Hunter and Kaitlyn Adcox of Conyers; his siblings, John Saunders of Florida and Wendy Saunders of Massachusetts; and his siblings' children, Hailee Monies, Jessie Saunders and Mike Kelly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wheeler Funeral & Cremation Services (11405 Brown Bridge Rd, Covington, GA 30016). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, plants are preferred as Joseph loved having them in his garden.
