It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lindbergh Jones of Covington, Georgia, who passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelton A. Jones and Lottie Mitchell Jones; his brother William E. Jones (Gene); and his sister-in-law Nellie M. Jones. He is survived by: his wife Lounell R. Jones of Covington; his children, Kaye Jones Carter (Larry) of Atlanta and Michael Wade Jones of Social Circle; his grandchildren, Luke Jones (Sarah) of Sandy Springs, Lindsey Jackson (Phillip) of Charlotte, NC, Jackson Carter (Ashley) of Little River, SC, Levi Jones (Courtney) of Locust Grove and Laura Grace Jones of Kennesaw; and his great grandchildren, Lounell Ray Jones and Willa Jones.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Social Circle First Baptist Church (195 N Cherokee Rd, Social Circle, GA 30025). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a love offering may be given to First Baptist of Social Circle.
