She was predeceased by: her parents, William Daniel and Tessie Clara Calhoun Daniel; her son Troy Phillip Johnson; and her husband Spence Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Shelby Jones, Andy Johnson, Debra Guinn (Wayne), Helen Hill (George), Cuyler Johnson (Christy) and Carrie Hooks (Jim); and her sisters, Annie Ruth Faircloth and Janie Spinks. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Carter Funeral Home (1670 Atlanta Hwy, Madison, GA 30650). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Almon Baptist Church Cemetery (10 Almon Church Rd, Covington, GA 30014).
