It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Nance Pope of Covington, Georgia, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alton and Edna Elizabeth Pope (Plunkett); his wife Carolyn Reece Pope; his son Christopher Pope; and his brother Sidney Fincher.
He is survived by: his son Robbie; his daughter-in-law Kayla Pope of Covington; his grandchildren, Collin, Connor, Eli and Killean; and his siblings, Beverly Marshall of Columbus, Montana and Ben Pope of Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wheeler Funeral & Cremation Services (11405 Brown Bridge Rd, Covington, GA 30016). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
