We announce the death of James Durie Shelton of Crawfordville, Georgia, who passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 84. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Harris Shelton and Agnes Moates Shelton; and his siblings, Margie Edwards, Jackie Shelton and Thomas Randolph Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Shelton; his children, Robin Taylor Dauler (Doug) and Madison Clifford Taylor, Jr. (Leigh); his grandchildren, Douglas Dauler (Megan), Jonathan Dauler, Summer Jarrard and Savanna Taylor; and his great grandchild Baker Dauler. He is also survived by numerous other family members and close friends.
