She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Poppell and Marcella Poppell; her brother Tommy Poppell; and her grandson Colin Lucas Brown. She is survived by: her children, Crystal Howard of Darien, Ashley Smith of Ludowici, Amy Brown of Crescent and Charles Howard, III (Rhody) of Rincon; and her siblings, Suzanne DuBose of Sumter, SC and Rodney Poppell of Jesup. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
