As we bid Alice farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Alice is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Burt Porterfield and Claudine Porterfield; her son Rudy Burroughs; and her brother Robert Porterfield. She is survived by: her husband James White; her son John White; her sister Beverly Smith; and her niece Tina Smith Thompson (Alison Horne).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory (210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040). A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Athens Memory Gardens (5195 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605).
