He was predeceased by: his grandfather Brandon; his parents, Bertram Larrymore Blackwell, Sr. and Ruby Bell Blackwell; and his siblings, Delores Blackwell Skinner, Barbara Blackwell Mathis and Roy Blackwell.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Reece Blackwell; his sons, Kim Russell Blackwell (Lynn) of Lawrenceville, Charles Wade Blackwell (Dawn) of Cumming and Bobby Eugene Blackwell (Alizia) of Cumming; his grandsons, Kim Brandon Blackwell of Cumming and Austin Thomas Blackwell of Cumming; his great grandchildren, Rilynn Skye Blackwell and Braxton Lee Blackwell; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Reece of Dahlonega, Sue Reece Wrenn (Keith) of Cumming, Faye Reece Kramer of Canton and Otis Reece (Maryann) of Cartersville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grace Chapel Church of Christ (6755 Majors Rd, Cumming, GA 30040). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
