He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilma James and Eulas James; his daughter Shawna James Sanford (Billy); and his sister Barbara Ann. He is survived by: his sibling Jerry James; his significant other Shirley Shaw James; his daughters, Leisa James Smith (Kevin), Danisa James Meriwether (Spence) and Janna James Allman (K. C.); his grandchildren, Erin Tidwell (Trey), Justin Smith (Alexis), Alison Meriwether, Christopher Smith, Hannah Sanford, Sean Sanford, Cole Allman (Briana) and Emily Allman; and his great grandchildren, Emma Grace and Anna Beth Tidwell.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (1597 Sawnee Dr, Cumming, GA 30040). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
