He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther and Lois Rainey. He is survived by: his wife Ludivina Rainey; his siblings, Sandra Daniel and Kenneth Rainey; and his children, Sean Rainey, Daniel, Mary Ann Simmons and Mary Grace Cochling. He is also survived by fourteen Grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
