He is survived by: his mother Donna Whitacre (Longstreet); his wife Joni; his children, Daniel [Colleen], Stacey [Travis] and Jamie; his granddaughter Eden; his brothers, Kirk [Catherine] and Chris; his sister-in-law Ginner [Jack]; his nieces, Rachel (Grant), Lyla Kate (Oliver), Violet, Cici (Chuck), Chloe and Emmi; his nephew Jared; Clyde, Wilson, Annie and Finn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation (Pancreatic Cancer Research), the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Sustainable Liberia, and North Point Ministries.
