She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Irvin and Andrew Jackson Irvin; and her siblings, Tommy Irvin and Janice Irvin Walker. She is survived by: her husband Homer H. Doster Jr.; her sons, Scott Doster (Laura) and Kie Doster (Patti); her granddaughter Taylor Shepherd (Grant); and her sister Beverly Harrell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tunnels to Towers, an organization honoring and supporting America's heroes—reflecting Dot's lifelong respect for service, sacrifice, and community.
