He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gordon Boggs and Janelle LaVerne Badders Boggs; his grandparents, Herthel, Elizabeth Badders and Mary Thatcher Boggs; and his brother-in-law Gerald Haywood.

He is survived by: his sister Connie Boggs Haywood; his nephew Alan Boyd (Lynn); his nieces, Mandy Love (Shane) and Carla Daniell; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Morgan Porterfield, Bolton Porterfield, Hunter Daniell, Grace Daniell, Bailey Cooper, Nevaeh Cook and Wesley Porterfield; and his cousins, Johnny, Pam Mauldin, Wendell, Janice Myers, JB, Susan Brooks and Brookdale Hartwell.
