With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward D. Bunten (Cumming, Georgia), born in Duluth, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Edward may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Edward touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Bunten and Plassie Bunten of Duluth, GA.; and his sister Shelva White (Bunten) of New Bern, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Bette Bunten (Swartwood); his daughter Stephanie (Bunten) Shaheen (Marty); his granddaughters, Brittany Willingham (Shaheen) of Cumming, GA. and Brooke Shaheen of Cumming, GA.; his brother Larry Bunten (Beth) of Duluth, GA; his sister-in-law Gloria Swartwood Osborne (De-De) of Cumming, GA.; and his caregiver Tracy McDaniels.
