He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Chiariello and Pat Chiariello; and his grandson Caleb. He is survived by: his wife Annita Chiariello; his children, Lisa (Chris Wisniewski), James (Cindy Chiariello, Jr.), Nancy (John Mangan), Steven (Sheryl Chiariello), Sandy Mangan, Adam Holland (Stephanie Selletie), Tonia (Robert Usher), Paul (Lindsay Chiariello) and Matt (Chelsea Chiariello); his grandchildren, Bajio, Allegra, Allie, Hannah, Lucas, Amanda, Mackenzie, Kale, Cali, Sofia, Sammy and Finn; and his siblings, Alice (Dale Walker), Dan, Pat Lynn and Roy Chariello.
