He was predeceased by: his brother Jamey Simmons; and his sister-in-law Darlene Barrett. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Barrett; his daughter Tiffany Barrett Lee (Eddie); his stepdaughter Angela Martin; his mother Etta "Nanner" Barrett Simmons; his grandchildren, Trevor Lingerfelt (Laura), Riley Barrett, Jaclyn Lingerfelt, Erica Snyder, Evan Stowers and Eli Stowers; his great grandchildren, Mordecai Lingerfelt, Ellie Lingerfelt and Bane Barrett; and his siblings, Terry Barrett, Robbie Ruis (Marvin), Lee Barclay (Chris) and Jason Simmons. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
