With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John David Sweeney of Cumming, Georgia, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 6, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Sweeney and Naomi Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Gerri Sweeney; his children, Douglas Sweeney (Stephanie) and Colleen Bracken (Michael); his grandchildren, Lydia Sweeney, Liam Sweeney and Eleanor Bracken; and his siblings, Patricia Blake, Norma Langol (Bob) and Tom Sweeney (Maureen). He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kindey Foundation in honor of John.
