He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Garner and Eileen Garner; his wife Blanche; his children, Kenneth Garner and Gail Hood; and his sister Joann Little.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Cassandre Heard (Gus), Colette Hood and Brittany Brookshire (Casey); his great grandchildren, Hannah Tankersley (Braylon), Hunter Heard, Holden Heard, Skyler Summers, Camron Summers, Alexis Summers, Sophie Carter, Bentley Carter, Kenleigh Brookshire and Case Brookshire; and his friend Sylvia Chester.
