It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie K. Burt (Cumming, Georgia), who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lula Belle Brooks and Ferman Tarpley Kent. She is survived by: her husband J. M.; her children, Jonathan Burt of Milton, GA, Noel Burt (Beth) of Henderson, NC and Karen Missy McCue (Hank) of Woodstock, GA.; her grandchildren, Jordan McCue of Kennesaw, GA, Hannah Burt of Berea, KY and Jacob Burt of Raleigh, NC.; her brother Michael Kent (Kathy) of Jasper, GA; and her sister-in-law Dora Arrendale of Dawsonville, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Macedonia Church in Marie's memory.
