She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Chamblee Otwell and Mildred Barrett Otwell; her husband Walter Eugene Fowler, Sr.; and her brother Robert Otwell. She is survived by: her children, Walter Eugene Fowler, Jr. (Nancy) and Laura Fowler (Tom); her grandchildren, Angela Masand (Prakash), Matt Parks (Joy), Virginia Small and Colin Thornton (Raleigh); her great grandchildren, Jack and Madelyn; her sister-in-law Imogene Otwell; her nephew Brent Otwell (Melissa); and her niece Katherine. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
