She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Penney; her parents, Robert Hart and Mary Lou Hart; her brother Robert Keith Hart; and her nephew Clay Hart.
She is survived by: her daughter Suzanne Penney of Cumming, GA; and her siblings, Carolyn Clark (Tom) of Petal and Richard D. Hart of Magnolia, MS. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a great-great-niece.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Service - Petal (789 E Central Ave, Petal, MS 39465). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Easthaven Cemetery (949 E Monticello St, Brookhaven, MS 39601).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to be made to Petal Education Foundation or Homes for Hope Children Home.
