He was predeceased by: his parents, John Coombs and Ina Banks Coombs; his siblings, Margarite Caldwell, Gayle Coombs, Bernice Rice, John Coombs and Martha Evelyn Cooper; and his daughter-in-law Debbie Coombs.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Coombs; his children, Jim Coombs, Gary Coombs (Joyce), Kevin Coombs (Vaughn) and Karen Walker (Joey); and his grandchildren, Tim Dufour, Carrie Mescall, Lori Moore, Chad Coombs, Chris Coombs, Krystle Coombs, Misty Heath, Madelyn Walker and Ian Walker. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren as well and numerous nieces and nephews.
