He was predeceased by: his parents, Claudia Amerson Bilton and Hessie Lee Bilton; and his child Robin Henry. He is survived by: his brother Joseph Bilton; his wife Doris Marlene Bilton; his children, John Bilton (Beth), Karen Lester (Lewis Sr.) and Michael Bilton (Linley); his grandchildren, Taylor Boyd (Cameron), Jennifer Bilton, Hunter Harris (Alex), Lewis Lester, Jr., Jacquelyn Lester, Hayden Holland and Mason Holland; and his great grandchildren, William Boyd, Benning Boyd, Harper Harris and Lillian Harris.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lefty's memory to the College of Charleston Foundation, 66 George Street, Charleston, SC 29424.
