He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dowis and Jeanette Dowis; his son Steve Dowis; and his sister Charlotte Dowis. He is survived by: his wife Betty Dowis; his daughter Jennifer Mora; his siblings, Victor Dowis (Dale), David Dowis (Linda), Raymond Dowis and Lynn; his stepchildren, Kelly Shirley (Rachel) and Kim Reed; and his grandchildren, Jack Davenport and Jordan Shirley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
