He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Reeves Burruss and Mary Ruth Wallace Burruss; his wife Rebecca Johnson Burruss; and his siblings, Reeves Burruss (Vertie Lee), Ed Burruss (Gwynell), Leland Burruss (Edna), Larry Burruss, Maggie Wilbanks (Wilson), Dot Burruss, Lucille Phillips (Buddy) and Betty Strickland (Cliff).
He is survived by: his children, Ruth LeBlanc (Kenny) and Brooks Burruss; his grandchildren, Joshua, Bryson and Emma; his sisters, Ineal Burton and Kathleen Pruitt; and his sister-in-law Mary Burruss.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Coal Mountain Baptist Church (3220 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040).
