With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra Mims of Cumming, Georgia, who passed away on October 21, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas R. Whire and Edna Moore Whire; and her sister Janis Weldon. She is survived by: her husband Donnie Mims; her children, Donna Haucke (Hampton), Tommy Mims (Buffy) and Melanie Halstead (Frank); her grandchildren, Hannah Marshall (Zack), Natalie Haucke, Ashley Bagley (Alex), Riley Halstead (Alix) and Brock Halstead (Lindsey); her great grandchildren, Laura Belle and Clara Bagley; her siblings, Robert Whire, Dick Whire, Cheryl Carter, Jody Whire and Angela Spencer; and her siblings-in-law, Judy Mims, Carol Mims, Jimmy Mims and Thomas Mims (Diann).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.

“I was so sorry to hear about Sandra's passing. I went to grammar school thru 8th grade with her. She was always a very kind person and had a great sense of humor. The last time I saw her we had lunch with several ladies from Our Lady of Assumption several years ago. I remember at the time she talked about how proud she was of her family. I know she will be sorely missed by all of you but what great memories you have of such a loving person. Therese Bell Ergle”
