He was predeceased by: his parent Sidney Clayton; his wife Janette Barfield; and his sister Laquita Castleberry. He is survived by: his children, Stacey Barfield Posey (Rick), Stephanie Alane Holton (Gary), Tameir Powell-Lichtenberg (Terry Lichtenberg) and Darice Barfield Stein (Dan); his grandchildren, Cassandra Lynn-Alane Illg (Will), Jacob Baker, Samantha "Sami" Posey, Ellen Reece Jones and Maggie Shiver; and his great grandchild Beckett Illg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cumming Baptist Church in memory of Sid Barfield.
