He was predeceased by: his parents, Clotilde Murphy and Thomas Murphy; his daughter Margaret "Peggy" Murphy (David Goth); and his brother-in-law Jack Bolton. He is survived by: his wife Carol Wright Murphy; his sisters, Barbara Bolton and Francis Harrick (Robert); and his children, Kevin (Amelia), Mike (Amy), Patrick (Donna), Peter (Lynne), Mary (Michael) and Kathleen (Jim). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
