She was predeceased by: her parents, W. I. "Bill" Reid and Mary Frances Barrett; her stepfather Emmett Hansard; and her husband Veston G. Heard. She is survived by: her sons, Tim G. Heard (Sharon) and Chris V. Heard (Maggie Johnson) of Cumming; and her grandchildren, Reid, Jake and Emma Heard. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
