He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alva Rice and Lucile Beard Rice; his brother William Wayne Rice; and his brother-in-law Bobby Joe Engram, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Weaver Rice; his children, Ryan Rice (Julie) of Cuthbert, Todd Rice (Jenni) of Albany and Jalee Rice Wilson (Nate) of Fitzgerald, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Mallory Rice, Alyson Rice, Lawrence Carpenter, Anslee Wilson, Rylee Rice, Abigail Rice, Mattie Jane Carpenter, Sara Beth Wilson, Avery Rice, Emmaline Carpenter and Morgan Wilson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lunsford Funeral Home (54 Court St, Cuthbert, GA 39840). A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cuthbert Eastview Cemetery (38 N Webster St, Cuthbert, GA 39840).
