He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Clifton McCook and Mary Meredith Nicholson McCook; his wife Rebecca Griffin McCook; his son Tony McCook; his stepdaughter Terri Nichols; and his great grandchild Rael.
He is survived by: his son Tommy McCook of Shellman; his stepdaughter Merri Boyd of Waycross; his daughter-in-law Tricia McCook of Eufaula; his sister Mary Brooks of Edison; and his grandchildren, Jamie, Alana, Luke, Shayla, Nathan and Kelci.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lunsford Funeral Home (54 Court St, Cuthbert, GA 39840). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Bethel Baptist Church (989 Eleven Bridges Rd, Cuthbert, GA 39840).
