It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Ray Higgins Sr. of Dacula, Georgia, who passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Herman Ray had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Herman Ray may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Everett Higgins; his parents, Jim Higgins and Aubry Higgins; and his sisters, Hazel Higgins Wall and Virginia Higgins.
He is survived by: his son Ray; his daughter-in-law Chelsie Higgins; his grandchildren, Tripp Higgins and Harper Higgins of Madison, MS.; his brother Dean; and his sister-in-law Karol Higgins of Alpharetta. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the TIM Stewart Funeral Home (300 Simonton Rd SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30046). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of TIM Stewart Funeral Home (300 Simonton Rd SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30046).
