She was predeceased by: her parents, Lincoln Garrett and Martha Seabolt Garrett; her children, Elaine Day and Bobby Dixon; and her siblings, Rev. Willis Garrett, Jimmy Garrett (Jean), Mae Clark, Beulah Penland, Shirley Carey and Myrtle Collins.

She is survived by: her husband Thurmond Ray Powers of Dahlonega; her children, Sidney Michael Dixon (Lori) of Cumming, Jerry K. Dixon of Dahlonega and Sherry Wilson (Zach) of Eatonton; her grandchildren, Michael Joseph Dixon, Savannah Harkins, Patrick Harkins and Jordan Wilson; her great grandchild Raylan Dixon; and her sisters, Vivian Conley of Blairsville, Evelyn Shook of Blairsville and Bessie Brown of Blairsville.
