He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Sullens and Alma Hulsey Sullens; his siblings, Joe Hulsey, Hoyt Sullens, Mary Nell Jarrard and Joyce Parrish; and his brothers-in-law, Randy Pruitt and Johnny Crisson.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Louise" Sullens; his children, Donna Taylor (Allen) of Dahlonega and Jonathan Sullens (Paula) of Dahlonega; his grandchildren, Emily Jones (Dustin), Jacob Taylor and Megan Sullens; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Sullens, Lucy Eikler, Dorsey Sullens (Carol), Doris Couch (Tony) and David Sullens (Paula); and his sister-in-law Rachael Pruitt. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
