She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Garrett and Roberta White Garrett; her former husband Terrell "Ted" Wood; her sister Alline Shoemake; her grandson Devin Wood; her son-in-law Wesley Fields; and her friend Gloria Dowdy.

She is survived by: her children, David Wood of Dahlonega, Shelly Mims (Devin) of Cumming, Miranda Keyton (David) of Fort Mitchell, AL and Nina Brooke Fields of Dahlonega; her stepchildren, Tim Wood (Tammy), Cherrie Greer and Bobbie Jean Tyndall; her husband Tommy McElduff; her grandchildren, Cody Wood, Danielle Fields, Lily Kerns, David Paul Keyton, Luci Fields, Cooper Fields, Shayleigh Akins, Raegan Akins, Jaida Akins-Wood and Palyn Akins-Wood; and her siblings, Barbara Hyatt (Charles), Eddie Garrett (Brenda), Freddie Garrett, Ricky Garrett, Wanda Woody, Gail Garrett and Gary Garrett (Tammy). She is also survived by Three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
