Charles Emory Wimpy Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Emory Wimpy of Dahlonega, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on July 1, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie "Guy" Wimpy and Kathleen "Billie" Wimpy; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Dorothy Ridley; his brother Archie C Wimpy; his niece Traci Elizabeth Lee; and his nephews, Wex Wimpy, Jon Wimpy and Zebulon Guy Wimpy.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Ridley; his sons, Chad Wimpy, David (Patti Wimpy), Doug (Melissa Wimpy) and Eric (Brianna Wimpy); his grandchildren, Cullen Wimpy, Charles Lee Wimpy, Lauren Wimpy Cain (Hunter Cain), Richard (Bethany) and Trey (Molly Hardwick); and his great grandchildren, Aden, Cadence, Blakeney and Kennedy Harper. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews; 17 great nieces and nephews; 7 great-great nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted, but in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stand Up To Cancer (standuptocancer.org), a cancer research charity, or a charity of your choice.
