With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Wayne Wathen of Dahlonega, Georgia, born in Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on October 20, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Wathen and Lena Wathen; and his daughter Pamela S. Davis. He is survived by: his wife Kim Palmour Wathen; his daughters, Bella Wathen, Brenda J. Owens (Kevin), Tori Hunter and Shawn Ashworth; his siblings, Joe Wathen (Sara) of Owensboro, KY, Brenda Hagan (Bruce) of Whitesville, KY, Judy Payne (Russ) of Owensboro, KY, Sharon Simmons (David) of Utica, KY and Stephen Wathen (Adriana) of Cumming, GA; and his close friends, Susan Moss, Alexis Clark, Ty, Shelley Panter, Charlotte Johnson, Ed Maxwell, Donald Savage, Jerrell Sullens and Jimmy Anderson. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many other loving relatives.
