He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock Dial Gipson and Ruth Manley Gipson; his wife Mary Willene Poss Gipson; and his siblings, Venita Thomas, Marvis Crump and Noma Shirley.
He is survived by: his sons, Hasley Gipson (Jessica) of Dahlonega and Wesley Gipson (Kristen) of Fort Collins, Colorado; and his grandchildren, Caroline Gipson, Mary Gipson, Katelyn Gipson of Dahlonega, Parker Gipson, Madelyn Gipson and Noah Gipson of Fort Collins. He is also survived by several friends and other family members.
