With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dwight M Teagarden (Dahlonega, Georgia), born in Lamar, Missouri, who passed away on July 15, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sloan Teagarden and Jennie Teagarden (Hetherington); his son Tim Teagarden; and his son-in-law Rev. Mark Reon. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Joanne" Teagarden; his children, Dr. Julia Reon and Grant; his daughters-in-law, Anne Teagarden and Carla Teagarden; and his grandchildren, Rachel, Jessee, Grace, Lindsey Reon, Kristen and Josiah Teagarden.
He had a quiet, deep faith and continued to study and teach the Bible his entire life – including through Zoom to his Sunday School class during COVID!
In line with his love of constant learning, he has donated his body to science, because as he said, "I have a very interesting body.". Services will be held at a future date and donations in his honor may be made to one of his favorite charities in Pontiac, Michigan, "Power Company Kids Club" which brings practical help and Jesus to the inner-city children of Pontiac and Detroit.
